The Rachamankha Chiang Mai is located in the heart of Chiang Mai’s traditional old town near to some of the city’s most revered temples. It certainly comes as no surprise that the owners, responsible for the creation of this lush complex are two of the Kingdom’s most respected designers.
The Rachamankha Chiang Mai project took over 5 years to complete, but the long awaited end result, a highly exclusive, 24 room, dazzling urban retreat with core philosophies dedicated to relaxation and body nurturing. Structurally the complex comprises of a number of pavilions, home to the resorts rooms and guest amenities.
These are divided by two handmade earthen brick courtyards featuring a number of original Asian artifacts, including two stunning Ming Dynasty lions and a garden scattered with an array of sweet smelling tropical flowers. The exterior theme of the pavilions is one of a traditional Lanna design, the project concept taken from the viharn or chapel of the famous Lampang temple, Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, believed to be one of the most beautiful Wats in Thailand.
The interiors of all the Rachamankha Chiang Mai buildings are dotted with an impressive display of Lanna, Chinese, Dai, Laotian, Lua, and Burmese antiques and paintings, many of which were collected by the owners from their places of origin.
