Set on one of southern Thailand's last undisturbed islands, Pimalai Resort & Spa offers an unmatched level of 5-star luxury on Koh Lanta. This really is the place to stay if you want to feel like you are in the middle of a deserted paradise beach, because you are! But there’s no need to compromise comfort in any way. At Pimalai Resort & Spa you have every modern comfort that you could need whilst fulfilling your desert island life fantasy.
With Pimalai Resort & Spa occupying such a vast area (over 100 acres of forest), including nearly one kilometer of the bays 3KM of pristine white sandy beach front and owning three-quarters of the bay itself, the result is that the buildings and facilities are nicely spaced and neatly nestled within the forest canopy, the tropical jungle greenery practically enveloping them.
The bay in which Pimalai Resort & Spa is located is named Kangtiang bay at the southern end of the island, and is unquestionably one of the nicest bay areas in Koh Lanta. There’s no doubt that as you go further and further south on Koh Lanta the island just gets more and more beautiful, characterized by secluded beaches with not a soul on them except a couple of nudists perhaps, un-chartered rainforest, waterfalls and local seafood restaurants. The reason being because, until the beginning of the middle of last year there were no proper roads leading down to the south of the island making access via bumpy dirt tracks, navigable only by the adventurous.
The only easy way to access the far south was by boat. The result was preservation of the Lanta’s original natural beauty. We are reservedly pleased to announce that there is now much easier access to most southerly parts of Koh Lanta. It's great for getting around to see more of this beautiful island, but it's bound to lead to overdevelopment. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! For guests wishing to explore the islands rich interior, Pimalai Resort & Spa organise the rental of cars, jeeps, motorbikes and bicycles.
